High-Five Society is a grassroots nonprofit organization based in Polk County, Georgia, dedicated to creating inclusive communities for individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodiverse individuals, and their families. We believe every person deserves to feel accepted, valued, supported, and included — regardless of ability level, diagnosis, or support needs.
What began as a small community effort and our first social event in February 2022 quickly grew into something much bigger as families throughout the area expressed the need for more local support, inclusive opportunities, and meaningful connection. High-Five Society officially received 501(c)(3) nonprofit status in July 2023 and has continued growing ever since.
At our core, we are a judgement-free community focused on inclusion, compassion, advocacy, and family support. We strive to create spaces where individuals of all abilities can build friendships, participate in meaningful activities, and feel a true sense of belonging while families feel seen, supported, and less alone in their journey.
High-Five Society was founded on the belief that underserved and rural communities deserve access to inclusive programs, community connection, resources, and support systems close to home. Through collaboration, education, and community involvement, we are working to help bridge gaps in services and create a more accepting and inclusive future for all.
Creating inclusive communities, one high five at a time.
