The mission of Communities In Schools (CIS) of Rome-Floyd County is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.
CIS employs evidence-based programs and services to positively impact grade promotion and high school graduation rates.
What We Do
We support the students and families in Rome and Floyd County by implementing programs and services designed to increase academic achievement, decrease truancy, and minimize discipline incidents.
Currently, our main focus areas are Mentoring and Volunteerism, Parental Engagement Programs, Student Basic Needs (Nutrition, Clothes, Hygiene, Vision Care), the Cardboard Challenge, and Educator Resources.
